Michael Bridgman
Councillor Michael Andrew Bridgman is the SNP Elected Member for the Portobello/Craigmillar Ward and is Edinburgh born and bred. He joined the Territoral Army as a Lance Corporal in the Royal Engineers for four years and in 1986 began work for his current employer, E.H. Ranson & Co. Insurance Brokers, and is manager of their Uphall Branch. He is a registered Insurance Broker.
He joined the SNP, Edinburgh East Branch, in 2005 and became convenor of said branch in 2006. Michael got involved in politics mainly due to the threatened closure of Lismore Primary School, due to the injustice of the decision making. He chaired the Lismore Parent Action Group.
His interests include football, sports in general, all types of music other than rap, cooking, family, reading and politics.
