Craigmillar High School

The new £30 million Craigmillar Community High School and Public Library is currently under design.  Award-winning architects John McAslan & Partners have been commissioned to lead the design team.  The school will cater for up to 700 pupils on both academic and vocationally related courses.

When it opens, the school will replace the existing Castlebrae Community High School in helping to serve the education needs of the wider Craigmillar area.

Based at a new site off Niddrie Mains Road, the school will form an important part of the redeveloped Craigmillar town centre. The school and library will provide opportunities for life-long learning, recreation and entertainment in the evenings and during the weekends.
